""Almost a year prior to taking Conscious Eating, I decided to go vegan. Although this dramatically improved my health, I still felt tired and run down with low immunity and cold/flu type symptoms, I knew something was missing in my diet so I took this course, hoping to find it. And find it I did! The 7-day food diary really increased my awareness of the effects that certain foods were having on my body. As a result I have completely removed processed foods with hidden additives from my diet. Keeping the food diary also highlighted weaknesses in my existing meal structure that were leading to noticeable periods of lethargy and mood variability. Hello there, I’m Sophie, your health and wellness mentor. I’m a whole-foodie and holistic health devotee. As a reformed sugar and carb fiend, who was constantly tired and unwell, I have transformed my diet and lifestyle to one of health. Almost 5 years ago now I completely overhauled my diet from processed food, grain and sugar based to a real, nutritious whole foods diet. Along this journey I became consciously aware of my lifestyle choices and their affect.
My current health is nearly unrecognisable from where I started. If I can overcome chronic fatigue, depression and irritable bowel syndrome you can overcome whatever health challenges you have too. Being holistically healthy is an awesome state to be in, I have never felt better! Before taking Conscious Eating, I had been struggling with just starting a healthier lifestyle. Or maybe I should say, restarting a healthier lifestyle. I knew some things and had tried working them into my life, but felt overwhelmed with what I felt was just too big a change. I had too much weight to lose, too many bad habits and it was too late to make up for a lifetime of poor decisions. I was really stressed and worried about how I could improve my knowledge, health and weight.
When I read about Conscious Eating, I thought that it might be a good way to jumpstart my way into a better mindset. I was right! It has helped me to let go of some of my preconceived ideas about what a healthy lifestyle should be, and to relax into what I could do to make easy step-by-step changes and to truly ENJOY living a health-filled life. Having patience and learning how to have compassion for myself have been huge!
I loved the way the information was presented in bite-sized pieces. Easy to digest and understand while still packing a ton of impact. The videos are easy to listen to… like listening to your favorite person. I was always anxious to hear what was next. The printable handouts make it easy to save and remember important points.
